330/33/11kV: Lumwana S/S, 330/33/11kV Kalumbila S/S, 330/33/11kV Kansanshi S/S,330/33/11kV, Lusaka West S/S Zambia – protection relays commissioning, ABB Switchgear commissioning, Control and Protection System testing (REL670, RED670, RET670, REJ525, 7SA522, 7SD523, P120, MBCI). Retesting all protection relays and bay functionalities together with the final client. Examination of all drawings and documentation. Preparing and wiring different modifications requested by the client. Participating on technical discussions with the client and proposing technical solutions. Onsite maintenance of protection and control relays in power transmission networks including: distance relays schemes fault locators and auto reclose relays, transformer, bus bar and feeder protections, transformer tap changing control, synchronizing control, event and fault recorders. During the general check program, in all 3 substations (Sulayibia 400/300/33 kV, Fintas 400/300/33 kV, Jabriya 400/300/33 kV), all protection relays (RED670, REL670, RET670, REJ525, REB500, Siemens 7SD522, Siemens 7SA522, AREVA P120, AREVA P920, SOLKOR N) were retested. The program also included testing of alarms and measurements to control room and dispatch center, switchgear testing (CB timing, motor currents, interlocking). All tests were witnessed by the client. Besides retesting, modification works were done (alarms, interlocking logic, trip logic) as per client request.
